Bevill State students honored as members of the 2022 All-Alabama Academic Team

Two Bevill State Community College (BSCC) students are among the 2022 All-Alabama Academic Team. Harley Anne Lawrence, GPA: 4.0, Hometown: Kennedy, AL (BSCC Fayette Campus) and Lindsie Jo Moseley, GPA: 4.0, Hometown: Vernon, AL (BSCC Fayette Campus) were honored for this accomplishment during the Annual All-Alabama Community College Academic Team Recognition Ceremony on Friday, April 22, 2022, in Birmingham, AL. More than $53,000 total in scholarships was announced for 48 of the Alabama Community College System’s (ACCS) top scholars across the state during the 2022 All-Alabama Academic Team Recognition Program at the Hyatt Regency Birmingham – The Winfrey Hotel.

Harley Lawrence was a sophomore Academic Transfer student on the Fayette Campus, with a 4.0 GPA. Harley served as an Ambassador from 2020-2022. She served as the Fayette Campus Ambassador Secretary. In addition, she was a member of Phi-Theta-Kappa and served as Vice President of Service. Harley is currently attending Mississippi University for Women and is pursuing her bachelor’s degreein Elementary Education.

Lindsie Jo Moseley is a sophomore Academic Transfer student on the Fayette Campus with a 4.0 GPA. Lindsie Jo has served as an Ambassador since 2020 and currently serves as the Ambassador President. She is a member of Phi-Theta-Kappa, where she serves as the Vice President of Fellowship. In addition, she is a member of Sigma Kappa Delta. Lindsie Jo plans to transfer to Mississippi University for Women to complete her bachelor’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology.

“We are proud of the outstanding accomplishments of these students and are pleased they received scholarships and recognition for their hard work and academic success,” stated Dr. Joel Hagood, President of Bevill State.

All-Alabama Academic Team members are recognized for their distinguished academic achievements and leadership accomplishments. These students understand the responsibilities of being a scholar, alongside their role in community service.

The All-Alabama Academic Team scholarship and recognition program exists to provide Alabama Community College System students funding to support education and training in pursuit of a successful career pathway and a recognition program to honor outstanding scholarly achievements. The All-Alabama Academic Team Foundation manages, supports, and administers the All-Alabama Academic Team Scholarship and Recognition Program.
