Rev. Jack Lamon, 81, of Jasper passed away on Friday, August 12, 2022 at Brookwood Baptist Walker.
The family will receive friends on Tuesday, August 16, 2022 at 1 p.m. with the funeral following at 2 p.m. at First Baptist Church Jasper. Burial will be at Oak Hill Cemetery. Edward Everett and Howard Thompson will officiate.
As a veteran of the Vietnam War, Jack was awarded the medals of Purple Heart, National Defense, Vietnam service medal, Combat V-Bronze Star and he earned the Good Conduct Medal of which he was very proud. He was inducted into the Walker High School Sports Hall of Fame in the Class of 2002-2003. He was a volunteer trainer from 1972-2015.
He was an ordained minister who served the Lord as he worked with adults and youth.
He is preceded in death by his Parents, James Wilson and Jessie Mae Lamon; Sister, Julia Faye Wakefield; Brother, Clarence Lamon.
He is survived by his Wife, Karin J. Lamon; Daughter, Deborah Allen; Son, Jeffrey Lamon; Sister, Bobbie Murray; Brother, James Lamon all of Jasper; 6 Grandchildren; 12 Great Grandchildren; 2 Great-Great Grandchildren.
