CULLMAN – The Cullman Police Department assisted the Walker County Sheriff’s Office on Tuesday to arrest the second suspect related to the 2021 shooting death of Krystal Lynn Franklin of Jasper.
Patrick Thomas Edge, 28, was arrested and charged with capital murder on Monday afternoon. Jacob Aaron Thomas was arrested on November 15 and both men were indicted in June.
The charges stem from a November 15, 2021 drive-by shooting on Benny Short Road in Boldo that killed Krystal Lynn Franklin.
Franklin, a mother of seven children, was not believed to have been the target of the shooting, which occurred at 1:20 a.m.
Edge is being held in the Walker County Jail without bond on charges of capital murder.
