The Walker County Sheriff’s Office was able to present checks to two local charities Tuesday. The Salvation Army and the Children’s Advocacy Center of Walker County received nearly $300 for each charity.
The funds come from sheriff’s office litter crews collecting recyclables from the roadsides while picking up trash.
