Zachary Kyle Horsley, 42, passed away unexpectedly at his residence in Birmingham, AL.
The family will receive friends on Wednesday, August 17, 2022 at 1 p.m. at Collins-Burke Funeral Home. The service will follow at 2 p.m. in the Collins-Burke Chapel. Interment at Walker Memory Gardens. Maurice Savard will officiate.
Zach graduated Auburn University in 2002 and completed Appalachian School of Law in 2005. He returned to Birmingham where he practiced law for seventeen years. His very favorite part of his job was the camaraderie with his legal colleagues.
He had a way about him and an uncanny ability to relate to everyone. He lived big with a kind heart. He loved animals and ones in need always seemed to find him. Depending on his mood, he might read Hemingway, Hunter S. Thompson or Lewis Grizzard. Zach enjoyed fishing with his dad as much as arguing current events with his mom.
Zach is survived by Parents-Gary and Betty Horsley; Aunts and Uncles-Lance and Diane Horsley, Melissa Reynolds, Cindy and Jackie Hornsby; His sweetheart-Charlsie Alexander; ATO Brothers-Auburn University.
Preceded in death by Grandparents, Minnie Rivers (Charles), Edmond Tidwell (Atha), Martin and Betty Horsley; Beloved cats, Slate, Ransom, Bootsie and Monkey.
