American Heritage Pageant

Alabama Diamonds & Pearls Inc is a nonprofit organization focused on community service and helping other organizations as well as individuals. On Sept. 17, the group hosted the American Heritage Pageant, benefitting the Family Foundations and paying tribute to Childhood Cancer Awareness.

Family Foundations is community service foundation which works closely with DHR and their clients in the reunification of families that have been split up due to circumstances unique to each case.  The pageant also paid tribute to Childhood Cancer Awareness, and took up a donation for Paislee Farley, a 2-year-old who has been fighting Ewing’s Sarcoma, a cancer that grows in the bone. Paislee’s cancer has grown behind her eyes through her nasal passage. Donations were taken up to help her family with the costs of traveling back and forth to Children’s Hospital for her treatments.

Every contestant left with a crown; 13queens and two kings were crowned; as well as crowns for Directors Choice, People’s Choice, Donations Award, two US Ambassador titles one to Colton Ragan and Kinslee Turner, a title for Childhood Cancer Awareness Ambassadors Choice to Peyton McClendon, and Autoimmune Disorder Awareness Ambassadors Choice to Callie Harris.

Alabama Diamonds & Pearls Inc. are looking forward to continuing to serve the community though their fund-raising events and community involvement.
