Frog Festival set for Saturday

SUMITON – The 2022 version of the Frog Festival is set for Saturday.

Organizers said there are nearly 250 vendors signed up to participate in the event this year. That’s up from 180 last year.  Booths will be along Main Street and a block up State Street

“We are excited to see that many vendors this year,” Mayor Petey Ellis said. “Since we started the Frog Festival in 2005, we’ve had big crowds. It is a great way to show off our city.”

The event, which takes place mostly on Main Street will run from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. The entertainment schedule is Macabillies Band at 9 a.m., Showstoppers at 11, Streetcar at noon; Skylar Valenta and Bronson Hadder at 2 p.m. and Mud Bone Willie at 3.

David Mitchell, “The 1 Bullet Deputy” (a Barney Fyffe impersonator), will also return for 2022.

No pets are allowed.
