Jasper Junior High School kicked off its season Tuesday night with a big win over Hayden 46-8.
Jasper came out of the gate with a wide receiver pass from Ja’Rell Johnson 75 yards to Kade Sherer for the score.
The Vikings also had a big game from Zion Croger as he rushed 10 times for 197 yards and two scores. Ja’Rell Johnson also added a 33 yard reception to his stats as well.
The Viking defense helped out in a big way, led by Kaylen Evans-Harris who had three sacks and four tackles for loss. Keanu Anderson and JaKyrin Tucker both had interceptions return for touchdowns on the day.
The Vikings will be back in action Thursday night at home against Fayette with kick off set for 6.
