New Era bringing Scott Armstrong to Jasper

New Era Wrestling officials recently announced that wrestling legend Scott Armstrong has been added to Collision Course 2022, which will take place Saturday, Sept. 24 at Swann Gym in Jasper. 

“It’s not very often that fans get to see anyone from the Armstrong family these days,” NEW owner James Phillips said. “Growing up as a fan of Continental Championship Wrestling, I was a fan of ‘Bullet’ Bob Armstrong and all his boys. I have followed Scott’s career since it began. Whether he’s a wrestler, a referee or part of management, he always excels. We are honored to have him at New Era Wrestling.”

Armstrong had a long career as a wrestler, performing in CCW and World Championship Wrestling. He spent 15 years with World Wrestling Entertainment as a referee and producer. He has also worked for Impact Wrestling as a referee and producer. 

Armstrong said he is excited to return to Jasper for the first time in decades. 

“That area has always been a great place for wrestling. The fans are always loud and rowdy. That’s what we like. I can’t wait to see some old friends and make some new ones,” Armstrong said.

Matches announced for the card include Bubba Cagle vs Lutha X and The Heavenly Butterflies vs  Aaron Dallas & Jimmy the Kid.  The main event is for the NEW Open Weight Championship with Dameon Ceretone defending against Cody Windham. Other wrestlers on the card include “Action” Mike Jackson, “Widowmaker” Greg Dotson, Brandon Whatley, Cameron Keast, El Pollo Diablo and several more.

Kids ages 6 and under are free for general admission Advance tickets are available on EventBrite, and tickets will also be available at the door. Doors open at 6 p.m. Bell time is set for 7.
