PHIL CAMPBELL – The Carbon Hill Bulldogs remain winless on the year after a 28-0 loss at Phil Campbell Friday night.
Phil Campbell (4-1) scored twice in the first half. Kyle Pace connected with Jacob Barnwell on a 33-yard touchdown pass. The 2-point conversion gave the Bobcats an 8-0 lead only 19 seconds into the game. Gage Baker scored five seconds into the second quarter to increase that lead to 14-0 at halftime.
Carbon Hill’s defense held tough throughout the third quarter, but the Bulldogs’ offense couldn’t find any consistency. Phil Campbell scored twice in the fourth quarter to claim the 28-0 win.
Carbon Hill had four turnovers in the game.
Devin Daniel had 21 carried for 49 yards and three catches for 45 yards to lead Carbon Hill.
The Bulldogs will host Gordo (5-1, 3-0) next week in a Class 3A, Region 5 game.
