Thankful for our supporters; keep it up

Something I am thankful that I hear every day is:

“The Community Journal is great! How can I help you guys?”

Here are a few ways. Some are so simple that we don’t think about it.

1. Like our page. Click on the links and read the stories you think might interest you. The stories are there and can be read for free by visitors to the site. Once you’ve read them, go back and “like” them and share them on social media. Quick synopsis of this way to help: Like, click, read, like and share.

2. Tell people about us. Find ways to work “I saw (insert interesting tidbit here) on The Community Journal into your conversations. People will think you are cool for knowing about this hip, digital only news source before they did. Plus, they will think you are a great friend for telling them about this place where they can read all the information about Walker County for FREE, and it’s on their electronic devise.

3. Send us content. This can be as easy as telling us an idea for a story or about an event coming up, or it can be as in-depth as writing an article and taking photos for that article. We love LOCAL content. We are trying to showcase as many local artists as possible, whether that be writers, photographers, podcasters or social media content creators. If you like writing poetry, send us some. We will publish it. We all snap photos everywhere we go. We (as in our organization) can’t be everywhere, even in a small community, but we (as in our community) are everywhere, and that what we want The Community Journal to be. You are in THAT “we” with us.

4. Advertise with us. Yes, I am pointing my finger at you (Facebook friend who owns a business). Let us help you connect with people who are looking to spend some money. We offer advertising on our website and Facebook page, but we have so many more ways that we can help. We have full video production capability, have a track record of producing award-winning podcasts and we could even help make you TikTok famous thanks to some out of the box thinking and some teenage daughters who understand that platform. Contact me now. Don’t wait. Help us to help you.
