“It feels good to know I’m going to be continuing to play the game I love after high school,” Kennedy said, who has been playing since the age of five. “It’s been my dream since I was a little kid. I’d like to thank all my coaches and teammates for encouraging me and supporting me but most of all I’d like to thank God for making it all possible.”
While he has committed to Penn State Beaver, he can not formally sign until his senior year.
Penn State Beaver is a commonwealth campus of Penn State University located in Centre Township, Pennsylvania.
Per the NCAA, division III schools do not offer athletic scholarships and, instead, focus on minimizing “potential conflicts between athletics and academics and focus on regional in-season and conference play.”
“While Division III schools do not offer athletics scholarships, 75 percent of Division III student-athletes receive some form of merit or need-based financial aid.”
