Jasper celebrates Hispanic heritage

Jasper Main Street sponsored a Hispanic Festival at the pocket park in downtown Friday evening.

The event featured authentic Hispanic food, drinks, candy and entertainment, as well as face painting and a photo booth. The Jasper High School Spanish Club and culinary students also participated in the festival.

A large crowd showed up for the inaugural event, and organizers said they plan to make it an annual festival, hoping to see it grow each year.
