Anthony Phillips, a seventh-grade student at Sumiton Middle School, recently completed a community service project for the Mission of Hope in Dora.
Phillips led a drive to collect Hamburger Helper boxes that will be given to needy families in the area. Phillips, at right, shakes hands with Phillip Bozeman of Bozeman’s Associated Foods in Sumiton. Bozeman’s generosity, along with friends, family and community members helped Phillips to collect nearly 600 boxes.
“Thank you to everyone who helped me,” Phillips said.
Phillips is the son of Haven and Alesha Phillips of Sumiton.
