Woods swearing-in set for Tuesday in Jasper

Matt Woods, newly elected District 13 Alabama House Representative, will have a swearing-in ceremony on Tuesday at the Jasper Civic Center. 

Woods will be sworn in by Circuit Judge Joeletta Barrentine. The ceremony will begin at 5:30 p.m.

“Everyone is invited. I appreciate District 13 ,” Woods said. 

Woods defeated Libertarian Mark Davenport during the Nov. 8 General Election with 94 percent of the vote.

Woods won the primary in May without a runoff, getting 55 percent of the vote in a five-person race.
