Dora recognizes citizens for bravery

Dora Mayor Randy Stephens recognized three Dora citizens at Thursday’s meeting of the Dora City Council. 

Benjamin Wade Simmons, Matthew Peyton Simmons and Matthew Simmons tried to save a person’s life after witnessing a terrible car accident on Dec. 29. 

The person died from their injuries, but the three men showed “heroism, bravery and willingness to help in a crisis,” as the proclamation that was given to the three men states. 

The proclamation was recommended to be given to the three men by the Dora Police Department and Dora Fire Department.
