Approximately 200 people attended the inaugural community prayer breakfast sponsored by the City of Jasper and led by local ministers.
Topics for prayers included giving thanks, repentance as well as prayers for first responders/medical personnel, city leaders, education personnel and local athletic teams/extracurricular groups.
Jasper Mayor David O’Mary said he plans for the prayer breakfast to become an annual event.
