In December 2022, an Internet Crimes Against Children (ICAC) CyberTip case was assigned to the Walker County Sheriff’s Office ICAC Taskforce affiliate investigator.
During the course of that investigation, an additional report was made to the Walker County Sheriff’s Office. As a result of those investigations, a suspect was identified and an arrest warrant was issued. Â
The suspect, Nevada Reid Elkins, was arrested Monday at his residence and charged with Rape 1st and 3 counts of Possession of Obscene Matter Containing Visual Depiction of Persons Under 17 Years of Age Involved in Obscene Acts.
