The Town of Eldridge announced Thursday it will be postponing its annual Fireman’s Gala.
“Due to circumstances beyond our control the Fireman’s Gala that was set for May 12, 2023 is going to be postponed,” the town announced on its Facebook page.
“We are truly sorry that it has not worked out to have the Gala in May, but we continue our efforts to work on restoring the building which will enable the Town to have events such as this in the future,” the post continued.
Organizers do plan to have Swamp Johns plates for sale and available for pick-up on Friday, May 12, at Eldridge Town Hall.
“Please see your local firemen to get your orders in for your plates,” the Facebook post said.
