New Era Wrestling back in Jasper Saturday night

New Era Wrestling (NEW) returns to Jasper this Saturday (March 11) with a show featuring a match for the NEW Tag Team Championships and the in-ring return of “The King of the the South” Ace Haven.

“The Modern Day Kings” Bubba Cagle and Cody Windham won the titles by deafening “The Heavenly Butterflies” Faboo Andre and Tony Donati in February during an NEW show held at KamiCon at the Birmingham-Jefferson Civic Center. The two teams will battle in a rematch at the “Collision Course” show in Jasper at Swann Gym.

“We got the opportunity in Birmingham and didn’t let it slip by us,” Bubba Cagle said earlier this week. “Cody and I will be back home in Walker County, and these belts won’t be going anywhere.”

The Butterflies held the titles for months, and they expect to win back the belts on Saturday in Jasper.

“Those are our titles. We’ve held them as long or longer than anyone, and they are coming back home with us where they rightfully belong,” Faboo Andre said.

There will be a contract signing for the NEW Open Championship between champion Dameon Ceretone and challenger Dawson Kimbrell for a match in April.

Other matches signed for the card include Cameron Keast facing Brandon Whatley and “Action” Mike Jackson battling longtime rival Ty Sutton as well as Haven’s return to the ring in Jasper after a serious health issue kept him out of action for the last nine months.

“We have six matches scheduled for the card, and it will be action-packed,” NEW Owner James Phillips said. “After being in Birmingham for the February show, we are all excited to be back in Jasper. Performing two shows at KamiCon were great for our company and gave us some tremendous exposure, but there is always something special about being in front of our home base in Jasper.”

Doors at Swann Gym will open for the event on Saturday at 6 p.m. with bell time set for 7. Tickets are $15 for ringside and $12 for general admission. Children 6 and under receive free general admission entrance with an adult ticket purchase. To reserve ringside seats or for more information, call 205-435-3403.

Tickets will be available at the door, but can be purchased in advance at https://www.eventbrite.com/e/new-era-wrestling-presents-collision-course-tickets-579877217367
