WCSO arrest two on drug charges

The Walker County Sheriff’s Narcotics Division late last week attempted to stop a vehicle in Nauvoo. The suspect fled in a vehicle pursuit down Nauvoo Road, Jagger Road, Prospect Road, and ended on Sandcut Road where the suspect drove his vehicle into the woods and fled on foot.

 The suspect later came out of the woods and was taken into custody inside a residence on Sandcut Road.

 Methamphetamine was recovered from the vehicle.

 Bobby Joe Lynn, 38, of Townley, was taken to the Fayette County Jail on an alias warrant for Unlawful Possession of a Controlled Substance. A warrant was signed for Unlawful Possession of a Controlled Substance and Lynn will be extradited back to the Walker County Jail from the Fayette County Jail upon release. 

 The night before, the WcSO Narcotics Division stopped a Harley Davidson on Atkins Road off of Prospect Road. Investigators recovered Methamphetamine and made one arrest.

Investigators received information that the Harley may be stolen as the owner of the Harley is deceased. Efforts to locate family members of the owner are underway.

Jeffery Ray Keeton, 53, of Nauvoo, was arrested on a felony warrant for Forgery 3rd degree. Additional charges are expected to follow.
