The Bevill State Bears lost both of Saturday’s home games against the Central Alabama Trojans in Sumiton, 12-4 in Game 1 and 6-3 in Game 2.
Jessy Aston pitched four innings in Game 1, giving up six hits, five walks and five earned runs with three strikeouts. Emma Black pitched two innings, giving five hits and two earned runs with two walks. Katelyn Makemson pitched a shutout inning, giving up a hit. At the plate, Santana Clark went 3 for 4 with a double and an RBI, AK Tyree was 3 for 4 with a solo homerun, Skylar Black hit a two-run homerun and Katie Puckett and Katelyn Makemson scored a run each.
Kyla Edmondson pitched seven innings in Game 2, giving up seven hits, six earned runs and four walks. Offensively, Skylar Black hit a two-run homerun, Carlie Burnham had a one-run double with a run scored, Santana Clark recorded a hit and AK Tyree scored a run.
