Casino Night benefits the Arc of Walker County

By James Phillips, The Community Journal

The Arc of Walker County held its annual benefit Casino Night Friday at the Jasper Civic Center.

The event included a buffet meal, a silent auction, BINGO and casino games such as blackjack and roulette, using play money. A Texas Hold ‘Em tournament was won by Eric Walker.

The Arc of Walker County raised more than $20,000 from the event with ticket sales, donations, the silent auction and sponsorships.

“We appreciate the community coming together to make the event successful,” said Joanna Brand, senior vice president of the Arc of Walker County.
