We are excited to announce that one of Walker County Center of Technology’s Rising Stars for the month of March is Terah Young. Terah is a senior from Cordova High School and is currently in the Health Sciences program taught by Beth Hartley. She is the daughter of Ryan Tolbert and Blake Camp.
Terah is actively involved in Beta Club, BSCC Upward Bound, Archery, and HOSA. She has received the following awards in Upward Bound: All Upward Bound Team Award and Upward Bound Honor Society Award. She most recently received her EKG Certification.
Upon graduation, Terah plans to work as an EKG technician and advance in the health science field by either going into radiology or cardiology.
In Terah’s words: I’m so glad to have had this opportunity to be a part of WCCT. I have learned more than I ever would have otherwise. I feel prepared for the long road ahead. I, 100%, recommend attending WCCT. I guarantee you will learn enough to be successful, and it will prepare you if you put in the effort. You will have many job opportunities to come from attending WCCT.
The Walker County Center of Technology Counseling Department and The Community Journal have partnered to present a new Rising Star each month as part of the Journal’s #CommunityFirst Initiative.
