Parrish man arrested after murder indictment

The Walker County Grand Jury indicted Lee Adrun Higginbotham, 22, of Parrish last month on two counts of Reckless Murder and one count of assault first degree. He was arrested and taken into custody Tuesday by the Parrish Police Department.

The charges were related to a traffic fatality that killed two people and severely injured another. The accident occurred in May 2022 on Highway 269 in the Town of Parrish.

The accident was investigated by the Parrish Police Department and the Alabama Law Enforcement Agency (ALEA).

Higginbotham was arrested at a residence in Parrish Tuesday by the Parrish Police Department. He is currently in the Walker County Jail.

“I would like to thank the Alabama Law Enforcement Agency for their assistance with the investigation,” Parrish Police Chief Danny Woodard said. “The Parrish Police Department and ALEA worked on this investigation for many weeks. I hope this arrest can somehow help in the healing process of losing family members in such a tragic way.”
