We are excited to announce that Walker County Center of Technology’s Rising Star for the month of April is Jacob Simpson, a senior from Carbon Hill High School currently in the HVAC/R program taught by Casey Hall. He is the son of Tammy Williams and Josh & Shanna Davis.
Jacob is a member of the Carbon Hill High School Football team where he has received the following accolades, 2nd Team All Region, Best O-Line, and Team Captain. He is also a member of Future Business Leaders of America. Jacob excels in his extracurricular activities while maintaining A’s and B’s in all of his courses this year.
Jacob’s goals in life are to attend college debt-free, work for a family-oriented company, and to be able to give back to his community.
From Jacob: “Always put God first, and he will make a way. And it’s like a big family up here (WCCT).”
The Walker County Center of Technology Counseling Department and The Community Journal have partnered to present a new Rising Star each month as part of the Journal’s #CommunityFirst Initiative.
