Maci Beaty, a former Jasper High School student, just graduated from IMG Academy and is excited to be attending the University of South Alabama this fall on a track scholarship.

IMG Academy is a sports academy and preparatory school in Bradenton, Florida. Beaty attended IMG Academy for the past year and enjoyed her time there.

“My track experience at IMG Academy this year has been nothing short of amazing,” Beaty said. “The level of professionalism and dedication exhibited by the coaches and athletes at IMG is unparalleled.”

Beaty trained in state-of-the-art facilities with teammates who encouraged her. “We pushed each other to achieve our personal bests,” she said.

The community Beaty found at IMG Academy was a diverse, thriving one.

“The rich tapestry of diversity at IMG is truly awe-inspiring,” she said. “Engaging with individuals from different countries, languages and traditions has broadened my perspective and deepened my understanding of the world.”

Beaty and her teammates represented IMG Academy in track meets, an experience that Beaty values highly.

“Representing IMG at various meets and witnessing the collective triumphs our relay team has accomplished fills me with so much joy,” she said.

For Beaty, the future is bright and filled with new adventures.

“I am bursting with excitement as I prepare to embark on my collegiate track journey at South Alabama. The opportunity to continue pursuing my passion for running at the collegiate level has always been a dream of mine,” she said.

The track team at the University of South Alabama is is a good fit, Beaty said.

“South Alabama’s track program boasts a remarkable reputation, and I am eager to be a part of a team that constantly strives for excellence,” she said. “The supportive and inspiring coaching staff at South Alabama has already made me feel like a valued member of the team, and I can’t wait to learn from their expertise and guidance.

“I am extremely excited to embrace the challenges and make lasting memories as I embark on this thrilling next chapter of my athletic career,” Beaty added.
