The Oakman Wildcats held an unveiling ceremony Saturday evening to showcase its new OHS Alumni Fieldhouse and William “Hoggie” Banks Jr. Champions Walk.
The event was essentially a tailgate party that included a full roasted pig.
All Oakman High athletes to have ever been named All-State are featured on the champions walk. Oakman Head Football Coach Ryan Hall said the walk was named after Banks because he was the initial First Team All-State selection at Oakman. Members of the Banks family attended the event.
All funding for the addition was by OHS football boosters.
