Wal-Win Media Days starts Thursday

By James Phillips, The Community Journal

The 2023 Wal-Win Football Media Days, organized by WJLX 101.5-FM is set for Thursday and Friday at the Pie Factory in Jasper.

The event will feature coaches and players from across Walker and Winston counties as a way to preview the upcoming high school football season.

“This is one of my favorite events of the year because it marks the unofficial start of the high school football season,” said Brett Elmore, owner and general manager of WJLX. It’s two days of our area coaches and players coming together, and we are able to showcase them like no other market. I want to thank The Pie Factory for being a tremendous host. We can’t wait to talk football.”

Elmore said media members from across the area are expected to be on hand to interact with the coaches and players. Fans are also invited to come out for Media Days.

The event will be broadcast live on WJLX 101.5 FM as well as on the radio station’s FaceBook page. It was also be broadcast live statewide on WOTM Spectrum Cable 21 and 80.
