Large rocks were delivered to downtown Jasper last week to be used as a part of the Town Creek revitalization project.
Jasper Main Street is heading up Phase II of the Town Creek project. The rocks were I rained thanks to funding by Cawaco RC&D.
The rocks will be installed into the section of Town Creek that runs alongside Sherer Auditorium, which is being renovated currently to become the new Jasper City Hall. The rocks will form weirs in the creek to preserve wildlife and encourage growth through oxygenating the water.
Jasper Main Street officials through the group’s Facebook page thanked Cawaco for “again investing in Downtown Jasper.”
