Thousands of people converged on the Main Street area of Sumiton Saturday for the annual Frog Festival.
More than 200 vendors lined the streets of Sumiton for the event, selling everything from rib on a stick to pet turtles to life-size, wooden sasquatch creatures. The Frog Festival also featured a children’s area and plenty of musical talent.
Sumiton Mayor Petey Ellis said the event is a major draw each year for the city.
“The Frog Festival is always a great way to show off our city,” he said. “We appreciate all our homefolks and all visitors who come out each year.”
