Cordova PD accepting toys for Children’s Advocacy Center

CORDOVA – Police Chief Krimson Culverson recently announced the Cordova Police Department is hosting its third annual Christmas Toy Drive, which will run until Dec. 12.

Culverson spoke about the toy drive during the Cordova City Council meeting on Tuesday, Nov. 14.

Culverson emphasized that the department’s lobby is open 24/7 to accept donations of new, unwrapped toys of any age.

The donated toys will be given to the Walker County Children’s Advocacy Center for distribution. This initiative aims to bring joy to children in need during the holiday season. By participating in the toy drive, community members can make a significant difference in the lives of these children.

“Cordova really embodies the essence of a community,” said Jade Kennedy, lead forensic interviewer for the WCCAC. “The support that the city has provided to the CAC over the years is unwavering, and their efforts of partnering with us during the Christmas season to ensure child victims throughout the county receive a great Christmas is so appreciated. We are honored to collaborate with the police department annually, working side by side with Chief Kulverson, to ensure an exceptional Christmas for child victims in Walker County.”
