Jasper City Schools earns Marzano High Reliability designation

The Jasper City School System was recently recognized at the Marzano High Reliability Schools Summit in San Antonio, Texas.

All five schools in the district have achieved Level 1 Certification: Safe, Supportive, and Collaborative School Culture. Jasper City Schools is the first school district in the state of Alabama to achieve Marzano HRS Level 1 Certification.

State Senator Greg Reed (R-Jasper), President Pro Tempore of the Alabama Senate, and Representative Matt Woods (R-Jasper) recently congratulated the Jasper City School System and its schools for being certified as a Marzano High-Reliability designee.

The Jasper City School System was the first school system in Alabama to have every school in its system designated as High-Reliability. The Marzano Framework is a national standard performance indicator in school effectiveness for promoting student learning.

“Schools do an incredible job investing in the lives of the young people in our community,” said Senator Greg Reed. “I want to congratulate the Jasper City School System for being recognized as a Marzano High-Reliability designee. Educators work incredibly hard to ensure our students have all the resources to reach their potential and achieve their dreams, and everyone in the Jasper City School System should be incredibly proud of this accomplishment. Children are our future, and this accomplishment is proof that our community is committed to providing the best educational experience possible for families in Jasper.”

“I want to congratulate the Jasper City School System for reaching this significant milestone of becoming Marzano High-Reliability certified,” said Rep. Matt Woods. “This is a testament of the hard work and continuous improvement by the faculty and administrators at every school within the system. As the first school system in the state to achieve this status, we are telling the world that we want to be the best place for your students to get the education they deserve and our school employees are putting in the effort to provide a top notch educational experience. This is a great selling point when recruiting business and industry to our area.”

Marzano’s High-Reliability School’s Framework uses five progressive levels of performance schools must master to become a high reliability school and is based on 40 years of research.
