Jasper Rotary hosting 13th annual Trivia Night

By James Phillips, The Community Journal

The Rotary Club of Jasper’s 13th annual Trivia Night is scheduled for Friday, March 1 at the Jasper Civic Center with the club now accepting teams for the event.

Trivia Night is the Rotary Club of Jasper’s largest fundraiser each year. Proceeds from the event go to provide scholarships for local students. The club also does community service projects throughout the year.

This year marks the 13th year for Jasper Rotary Trivia Night. An eight-member table is $280. Five mulligans can be purchased as well for $20. Those wishing to participate can complete a registration form, available on the Rotary Club of Jasper’s Facebook page or at and make checks payable to Jasper Rotary, c/o Kevin Callahan, and mail to 1001 Gamble Avenue, Jasper, AL 35501.

“Our goal is to have 35 teams,” said Callahan, a club member who organizes the event. “Trivia Night is a lot of fun. The community has grown to love and look forward to it every year.”

Doors at the Jasper Civic Center will open for the event on at 6 p.m., with questions beginning at 7. There will be 10 rounds of 10 trivia questions. Each round will be a different category.

Teams are invited to pick a theme and decorate their tables and are encouraged to wear costumes matching their table theme. Teams should bring their own food and drinks. There will be an award given for “Best Table,” as well as lots of door prizes throughout the night.
