Brodey has been busy at WCCT. Not only is he in the Electrical Program, but he is learning in his spare time in Welding and HVAC/R. He has passed both Electrical and HVAC/R core and level 1 certifications. In HVAC/R, type 1, 2, and 3. In welding, he was selected to compete at BSCC in the Torch Competition. His welding certification is currently pending. The future is bright for Brodey.
In his spare time, Brodey enjoys welding, electricity, basketball, fishing, and hunting.
In Brodey’s words: “If I could share anything, it would be to the upcoming students to make sure that you choose your career wisely. Take this decision seriously. You do not have to stay at the job you get while you’re in high school. Know your worth. You will get paid and treated like a high schooler if you don’t push further. Trust the process, graduating with skills and knowledge will make you worth more.”
The Walker County Center of Technology Counseling Department and The Community Journal have partnered to present a new Rising Star each month as part of the Journal’s #CommunityFirst Initiative.
