We are excited to announce another 2023-2024 Walker County Center of Technology Rising Star, Dakota Drummond!
Dakota is a sophomore from Carbon Hill High School and is currently in the Welding program at the Walker County Center of Technology taught by Jeff Clark. He is the son of Brittney Drummond. Dakota is a member of BSCC Educational Talent Search and has achieved A-B Honor roll at Carbon Hill High School.
In his spare time, Dakota enjoys hunting, fishing, and welding.Dakota’s career goal is to be employed as a welder in the coal mines.
In Dakota’s words: “WCCT is a good learning experience. You get more hands-on teaching here than in most other places. More people should help out and get involved with the school.”
The Walker County Center of Technology Counseling Department and The Community Journal have partnered to present a new Rising Star each month as part of the Journal’s #CommunityFirst Initiative.
