Carl Cannon Chevrolet Buick GMC has announced the opening of its new dedicated facility to service medium duty and commercial trucks.
It is a full service medium duty and commercial truck shop servicing all makes and models. The shop is 10,000 square feet and has up 18 bays depending on configuration. The facility also has three sets of 56,000-pound mobile lifts and a 5-ton gantry crane that serves every bay in the shop.
“We have wanted to build this facility since opening our fleet and commercial vehicle department back in 2019 but during Covid, that simply wasn’t possible,” said Curt Ballard, executive manager at Carl Cannon. “There are several GM medium duty dealers in the state, but very few have the proper facilities to service them. Since customer service has always been the backbone of our operation, we just believe if you are going sell a product you should invest in the ability to service it.”
Ballard said the facility will help its commercial clients have their vehicles back on the roadways as soon as possible.
“The thing about commercial clients is that when their vehicles need service, time is of the essence,” he said. “They have employees and customers who depend on them every day so when they have a problem, they need a service provider dedicated to getting their vehicles back on the road as quickly as possible. At the same time, the new facility takes a lot of pressure off of our main shop so that we can more efficiently service our everyday customers. We believe this will truly be a win win proposition for everyone involved.”
