We are excited to announce that one of Walker County Center of Technology’s Rising Stars for the month of May is CJ Willingham. CJ is a senior from Jasper High School and is currently in the Welding program taught by Jeff Clark He is the son of Chris and MyEia Willingham.
CJ is actively involved in JHS athletics as he has played football for the Vikings for 6 years and tennis for 4 years. CJ is also a leader in Children’s Church Ministries.
CJ was recently accepted into Tulsa Welding School and will attend after graduation. His goal is to graduate from Tulsa Welding School and gain employment in his field of study.
In CJ’s spare time, he enjoys sports, fishing, hunting and welding.
In CJ’s words: “WCCT offers options that provide excellent alternatives to college. WCCT offers good hands-on experience as well as the instructors being very attentive.”
The Walker County Center of Technology Counseling Department and The Community Journal have partnered to present a new Rising Star each month as part of the Journal’s #CommunityFirst Initiative.
