The Walker County Bama Club will host its annual kickoff event on Tuesday, August 22nd at 5:30 p.m. at Musgrove Country Club. The event will feature former Alabama Crimson Tide cornerback Javier Arenas, who is a First Team All-American and was on the 2009 SEC Championship Team and BCS National Championship Team. He went on to play in the NFL from 2010 to 2016.
Each event ticket includes a tailgate buffet and two drink tickets (beer or wine). A cash bar will also be available. A membership is $25, plus $10 per event ticket, or a ticket without a membership is $25 and can be purchased online (at eventbrite) or at the door. Children under 10 are admitted for free with a paid membership.
The event will also feature a raffle for a pair of football tickets to a select home game. Tickets for the raffle are $10 each and can be purchased online or at the event.
The primary mission of the Walker County Bama Club is to provide scholarship assistance to deserving students from Walker County who are furthering their education at the University of Alabama. Membership in the club is open to all alumni, friends and supporters of the University of Alabama. You do not have to be an alumnus to join the club.
