Self-inflicted issues saw Cordova struggle offensively in its season opener with n Thursday night, losing to Fayette County 12-7.
The Blue Devils could only muster 119 total yards while turning the ball over three times and committing 10 penalties.
The two teams played to a scoreless tie in the first half. Fayette scored a touchdown to open the third quarter and scored again after a Cordova fumble deep in its own territory to go up 12-0 halfway through the third quarter.
Cordova scored the only points of the fourth quarter on a run by Mason Bates.
The Blue Devils (0-1) will host Oakman (0-1) on Thursday night.
