A fire early Sunday morning destroyed a hangar at the Walker County Airport-Bevill Field.
Jessica Sanders Walker, vice president of operations for Sanders Aviation, said in a Facebook post on Sunday the fire destroyed Sanders Aviation East Hangar.
The fire marshal was on the scene Sunday, but a cause had not been determined.
“We are thankful that no one was injured,” Walker said. “All training aircraft and training facilities located at the flight school were not affected. We would like to thank our volunteer fire departments, police, EMS and sheriff’s office for their help. We are forever grateful.”
