Northwest Alabama Mental Health Center (NWAMHC) recently announced the renewal of its annual golf scramble, which will be held on Thursday, May 30, 2024, at Musgrove Country Club in Jasper. The nonprofit hosted its first golf scramble in 1982 and continued in successive years until 2023 when it was discontinued.
“This has been a great event for the community through the years, and we are very excited that it’s back on the calendar,” says tournament chairman Al Blanton, owner of Blanton Media Group and publisher of 78 Magazine in Jasper. “We want this to be the biggest, most successful tournament we’ve ever had.”
Jenny Elliott, Northwest’s HR Director, says, “This is our primary annual fundraising event, and it is important in our ability to serve the members of our communities who need behavioral health services. We are hoping for a great turnout.”
The 4-player, 18-hole scramble will feature tournament prizes and contests, including flight winners, longest drive, closest to the pin, and a putting contest. Lunch will begin at 11 a.m. on the day of the event with a noon shotgun start.
Registration is $500 per team or $125 per individual, and tournament registration forms can be found at the following locations: Bernard’s Store for Men and the NWAMHC Administrative Office at 1100 7th Avenue in Jasper.
A range of corporate sponsorships are also available, including title sponsor, lunch sponsor, and hole sponsor.
