Dora earned a 21-12 win over Haleyville Thursday to improve its overall record to 2-2 and 2-0 in region play.
Jamarcus Goodman and Sean Pryor led Dora on offense by combining for 186 yards on the ground. Goodman rushed for a score, while Pryor ran for one and threw for another.
Eric Rogers led the Bulldogs defense with two interceptions. Dora’s special teams came up big as well with a blocked punt.
Haleyville took an early 3-0 lead on a 30-yard field goal. Dora answered with a Goodman touchdown run. The running back added the 2-point conversion to give Dora an 8-3 lead with just over two minutes left in the first quarter.
The only score of the second quarter came when Pryor ran for a 17-yard touchdown. Dillon Watson kicked the PAT to give Dora a 15-3 halftime lead.
Dora held Haleyville to 68 total yards in the first half.
The Bulldogs opened the second half with a long drive that was capped by a 17-yard touchdown pass from Pryor to Garrett Hoagland. Dora led 21-3 at the end of the third quarter.
Haleyville added a touchdown and a safety in the fourth quarter to cut the final deficit to 21-12
Dora will travel to undefeated Corner (3-0, 2-0) for the County Line Clash, which is also a Class 4A, Region 5 battle.
