JASPER, Ala. (Community Journal) – One man is in custody and drugs off the street after Jasper Police conducted a search warrant last week.
Jasper Police Department narcotics agents searched a home in the 1700 block of 12th Avenue West on Wednesday, Oct. 1.
Albert Lamont Vinson, 51, of Jasper, was taken into custody and police seized five pounds of marijuana, around five ounces of cocaine, around 10 grams of amphetamine, and approximately $150,000 in cash.
Police also seized one handgun.

The SOG team was assisted by members of the Alabama Law Enforcement Agency’s Drug Task Force as part of an ongoing investigation.
Vincent has been charged with two counts of drug trafficking, possession of a controlled substance, and possession of drug paraphernalia.
He was taken into custody on a $150,000 cash bond.
