Walter Wayne Capps, 77, of Townley, passed away on Thursday, September 8, 2022 at his residence. During his military service he was awarded the Army Commendation Medal and also the Silver Medal.
The family will receive friends on Monday, September 12, 2022 at 10:00 a.m. at Collins-Burke Funeral Home, funeral services will follow at 11:00 a.m. in the Collins-Burke Chapel. Burial will be at New Canaan Cemetery. Tony German will officiate.
Mr. Capps was preceded in death by his Wife-Ursula Capps; Father-Walter Capps; Mother-Opal Williams; Daughter-Denise Bates; Sister-Margaret Shubert.
He is survived by his Daughter-Michelle Johnsey (Billy); Son-Billy Chipps; Granddaughter-Trezur Tidwell (Shawn); Grandsons-Brad Wright (Brie) and Colton Posey (Tiffany); Great Granddaughters-Imogene “Bug” Chipps and Zoella Posey; Great Grandson-Nakota Posey; Brother-Terry Williams (Karen).
