We are excited to announce that Walker County Center of Technology’s Rising Star for the month of October is Brynley Elliott, a junior from Jasper High School currently in the Cosmetology program taught by Tameka Woods.
“I love the cosmetology program, and I have learned so much from it,” Elliott said. “I have had many great opportunities to travel, compete, and do hands-on learning. I have also made many great friendships.”
Brynley is the daughter of Jessica and Bryan Elliott. She is involved in several extracurricular groups, Interact Club, Beta Club, Agape, The Wave (FCA), Skills USA, and her youth group. Brynley exhibits superior leadership and talent as she is the WCCT Cosmetology Class of 2024 President and placed 2nd in state for Skills USA Cosmetology Quiz Bowl.
“If I could share one thing about WCCT with our community, it would be how much of a great opportunity it is,” she said “For anyone interested in any field that WCCT offers, I would definitely recommend signing up for the classes here.
“They help me do what I love at a younger age than I would have been able to otherwise. The instructors and staff are great and are always eager to help out,” Elliott said. “They also helped me get a summer job in the field that I plan to create a career in at Polished Salon.”
Brynley plans to attend cosmetology school and become a successful cosmetologist eventually opening up her own salon. She looks forward to being a wife and mother one day.
