TCJ Outstanding Student: Elizabeth Williams, Jasper High School

Elizabeth Williams, a senior at Jasper High School, is The Community Journal Outstanding Student of the Week.

Williams has a long list of accomplishments from impeccable grades to outstanding activities and leadership. But what stands out most about Elizabeth is that she lives out what she stands for…her Christian beliefs. She does not run in the “popular crowd” but she is well loved and respected by her peers. She is Senior Class President as well as Student Council President among other leadership positions in various organizations.

Williams is Walker County’s Distinguished Young Woman for 2023. She has had the opportunity to interact with many community leaders and has earned recognition for her poise and grace in the company of adults and community leaders and dignitaries.

Williams has accomplished so much while maintaining a 4.45 GPA and working three jobs: Jasper Tutoring Center, babysitting and 78 Magazine.

She will attend Auburn University in the fall to pursue a degree in Graphic Design and Marketing.

Editor’s note: If you would like to nominate an Outstanding Student of the Week, please email [email protected] or send a private message to The Community Journal’s Facebook page. What we need is a photo of the student, what grade and school they attend, why they are being nominated and what their future plans are. Any student from Walker County currently enrolled from kindergarten through college may be nominated.
