Taste on Main set for Friday

By James Phillips, The Community Journal

Jasper Main Street will host its 2nd annual Taste On Main dinner on Friday, June 16.

The event will feature a 3-course meal prepared by Chef Mark Johnston with Musgrove Country Club, live music, beer and wine and a festive atmosphere.

The dinner will be held on a closed section of 3rd Avenue South in downtown Jasper.

Tickets are $100 per person and are limited to 100 guests. Beer and wine are included with the ticket price. Seating is not reserved, but tickets purchased in groups of six may be seated together.

Proceeds from the event will benefit the Pedestrian Bridge – Town Creek Project. The project will construct a pedestrian bridge over Town Creek in downtown Jasper near the former Sherer Auditorium, which is being transformed into a new Jasper City Hall.

Tickets for the Taste On Main Dinner can be purchased online at www.eventbrite.com. In the event of inclement weather, the dinner will be rescheduled and all tickets will be transferred to the new date.
