Thomas Marty Allen was born in Birmingham, Alabama on January 3, 1966 to Thomas Allen and Lois Holloway Allen. He passed away on June 27, 2023 at Shelby Baptist Medical Center in Alabaster, Alabama. A celebration of life will be held on Saturday, July 15, 2023 at 2:00 PM at Dogwood Baptist Church located at 56 Church Street in Montevallo, AL A graveside burial service will be held at Morgan Cemetary located at 510 Main Street in Sumiton Alabama on Sunday, July 16, 2023 at 4:00 PM.
He was preceded in death by his father Thomas Allen, his mother Lois Holloway Allen, his brothers Anthony Allen and Johnny Mulkin, Jr., and his nephew Jonathan Holley. He is survived by his sons Garret Allen and Matthew Allen, his sister Donna Morgan, his nephew Johnny Mulkin III, his bonus niece Denise Colburn, his nephew Thomas Black, his niece Rachel (Jeremiah) Koptis, his niece Cerrissa (Tyler) Chapman, several great nephews and great nieces, and a host of friends and loved ones.
Marty found a way into the heart of everyone he met and to know Marty was to love him. He was a gifted musician who enjoyed singing, playing rhythm, electric and base guitars, as well as being a talented drummer. Marty enjoyed getting together with friends and playing music at various venues. Although we know Marty is in a far better place, we will miss his laughter, his smile, his music, and his caring nature. We look forward to the day we will reunite in Heaven with Marty and Our Heavenly Father.
