The Belhaven University Blazers (Jackson, Miss.) won the NCAA Region III USA South Championship on Saturday with a 46-19 victory over Brevard College. Two players from Walker County are members of the Blazers team.
Drake Roberts, a junior offensive lineman from Jasper High School, and Jeremy Peeler, a junior guard from Cordova High School, play for the Blazers, who are now 9-1 on the season, and headed to the NCAA playoffs.
